Paul de Saint Sernin in Dubai

Experience Paul de Saint Sernin’s sharp, tender stand-up as he lowers his guard.

“When I first got into stand-up, a guy told me: ‘If you get up on stage, it means you’ve got a void to fill, something to prove to yourself.’

That couldn't be further from the truth, haha! I just want to make people laugh—that’s all.

Then I started writing jokes about the time I got humiliated by a girl in front of the whole high school, the time I hid in a bush for eight hours to avoid getting beaten up, but also about that revelation in April 2023 and the time a therapist told me I was incapable of love.

Anyway, I don’t have any void to fill, nothing to prove to myself. I just want to make people laugh—that’s all…”
