Symphonic Orchestra Concert in Dubai

Experience orchestral excellence as Valery Gergiev conducts the legendary Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra

Presented by Dubai Opera in collaboration with Art Seasons.

A 250-year musical legacy comes to Dubai Opera on 3 December 2026, as the legendary Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra makes its first appearance at the venue.

Recognised as one of the world’s foremost symphony orchestras, the historic Russian ensemble marks this significant debut with a live performance conducted by internationally renowned maestro Valery Gergiev.

The Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra traces its origins to 1776, when the company that would become the Bolshoi Theatre was formed. As Russia’s oldest musical ensemble, it has established an international reputation for its command of symphonic works, from 18th-century compositions to contemporary repertoire.

Its distinguished membership exceeds 300 musicians and includes laureates and prizewinners of international competitions, as well as Honoured Artists and People’s Artists of Russia. Many of these musicians also appear as soloists or perform with ensembles in concert halls across Russia and abroad.

At the head of the Bolshoi Theatre, People’s Artist of Russia Valery Gergiev directs major opera and ballet productions alongside large-scale symphonic concerts.

An outstanding conductor of international renown, he brings his recognised musical stature to the orchestra’s landmark Dubai Opera debut.
