The Kingdom Indoor Rowing Championship will be held simultaneously in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Qatif, with participants from various regions of the Kingdom competing in events organized by the Saudi Rowing Federation.

The championship includes competitions for men and women in various age groups, as well as relay races.

The competitions are held using professional rowing machines, such as the Can-Spt 2, in designated indoor venues, and include individual and team races, with cash prizes for the winners in various categories.

Competition Equipment, Categories, and Regulations

Equipment• The equipment used must be rowing machines approved by the International Rowing Federation or the Saudi Rowing Federation. • The Concept 2 is used in official competitions because it is the globally recognized device. Participants inthe lightweight category are required to weigh in before the race begins. Settings • Air Resistance: Competitors can adjust this from 1 to 10 before the race begins; it affects drag, speed, and the energy required. • Lead distance: Some devices allow this to be adjusted, and it must be set before the race begins. Inspection and Calibration • All devices are inspected before the race to ensure their accuracy and integrity. • If any malfunction or defect is found, it must be reported immediately and repaired before the race begins. Race Procedures, Conduct, and Safety

Race Preparation• The runners are prepared, and the seats and handles are pre-adjusted before the start of the race. Start• The race starts with a sound or light signal. • Devices are set to Race Mode to ensure synchronization. • In the event of a false start, the race is stopped and restarted. Timing and Scoring• The scoring and timing are done electronically via the system linked to the devices. • Results are collected electronically, and racers are ranked according to their recorded time. • In the event of a tie, the race is repeated or the results are revised. Finish Line and Announcement of Winners• A contestant is considered to have completed the race when he/she reaches the specified distance. • In the event of a tie, the jury decides whether to repeat the race or adopt the recorded result. • The results will be announced after review and scrutiny. • Medals and prizes will be distributed according to the approved categories. Sportsmanship• Code of Conduct: Respect must be shown to all competitors and judges, and any unsportsmanlike behavior will result in disqualification. • Compliance with the Rules: Failure to comply with instructions or rules may result in penalties up to and including disqualification. Protests• A competitor or his/her representative has the right to file an official protest in case of an irregularity or timing error. • The protest must be submitted within the specified period after the end of the race. • The Jury will review the protest and its decision is final.
