This honey Beekeeping course blends interactive classroom sessions with practical hive inspections, building your confidence with live bee colonies.

Alongside beekeeping science, you'll manage hives, learn extraction basics, and study desert beekeeping techniques.

The schedule also includes field trips across the UAE to round out your practical skills. It's a 5-session course every Saturday from the 17th of October to the 14th of November.

Exclusions

• Personal transport to and from field trip locations (unless specified otherwise) • Take-home hive equipment or live bees (guidance on purchasing will be provided) • Personal protective equipment outside of provided suits (e.g., custom footwear)

Important things to know before your visit

• Sting Risk: You will be interacting with live honeybee colonies. While full protective gear is provided, sting risks cannot be completely eliminated. • Allergies: Individuals with known severe allergies to bee venom (anaphylaxis) should consult a physician before registering and must carry an EpiPen. • Attire Requirements: Wear full-length trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes (ankle-high boots are recommended) for hive days. Avoid wearing strong perfumes or dark colours. • Age Limit: Designed for adults and young adults (check specific age minimums with Terra prior to booking). • Booking your ticket: To book your tickets and learn more about the price, check "select ticket."

By Car: If you're driving to Expo City Dubai, you can find us on Expo Road (E77), off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan al Nahyan Street (D54). Follow the road signs for Opportunity and Sustainability Parking, where you'll find 10,000 parking spaces. By Bus: There is an RTA public bus stop situated outside the Expo Metro station. By Metro: The fastest and most sustainable way to travel here. The Dubai Metro Red Line takes you from various locations in the city to the Expo station, located in the heart of Expo City Dubai. By Taxi: Dubai's taxis and car hires are plentiful. Taxis can be booked by phone, but the simplest way is to download the Careem, Uber or S'hail apps. Through the Careem app, you can also book Hala Taxi, which is Dubai's most affordable taxi.
