What Wherepicks is
Wherepicks (owned by Issa Dajani / Dajani Group) lists public events and places in every city we cover and links you to the official ticket sellers. We never sell tickets and we don't run ads or third-party analytics.
Without an account
Saves, follows, recently viewed items, your theme, language and last city are kept in your browser's local storage on your device and are never sent to us. A ge_lang cookie remembers your language and a ge_city cookie remembers the city you picked (or chose via "Use my location" — your coordinates stay in your browser and are never sent to us). Venue ratings store only the score plus a one-way hash of your IP address and the venue, so we can stop duplicate votes; we can't turn the hash back into an IP.
With an optional account
If you create one, we store a random account ID, the display name you choose, your preferences (home city, categories, language, budget, family mode, theme, currency), your saves, plans, "going" and "bought tickets" marks and follows. With a passkey we store only the public key and a usage counter, never your fingerprint, face or device PIN, which stay on your device. With Google sign-in (when it's enabled) we store your Google account ID, name and verified email. With email links (when they're enabled) we store your email address.
Cookies
When you're signed in, __Host-sid (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) holds a random session token, and we keep only its SHA-256 hash. wp_in just tells the page that you're signed in. Sessions expire after 120 days or when you sign out. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Push notifications
Notifications are opt-in and we only ask after you save, follow or mark "going". We store your browser's push endpoint and encryption keys, your frequency, quiet hours, time zone, language, and (if you're signed out) the IDs of the events, artists and venues you asked about. You get at most one notification a day. Every notification has a one-tap unsubscribe, and you can also turn them off in your account or browser settings.
Newsletter and submissions
If you subscribe or submit an event, we store what you typed plus your country (from Cloudflare) and the time.
Where data lives
Everything runs on Cloudflare Workers, with D1 and KV storage. Cloudflare processes requests and keeps short-lived logs to operate the service. Images load through the wsrv.nl image proxy. Maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap, and weather comes from MET Norway through our server. Links to Google Maps, Waze and ticket sellers only contact those services when you tap them.
Your controls
In your account you can export everything as JSON, and you can delete the account, which immediately erases your saves, plans, marks, follows, passkeys, sessions and push subscriptions. To clear on-device data, clear this site's data in your browser.
Children
Wherepicks is a general-audience listings site. Accounts are meant for people aged 13 and over.
